How is Kratom Powder Made?

Kratom is a natural herb known for its health benefits. It is extracted from the Mitragyna Speciosa plant, which is native to southeast Asia. When used, the herb stimulates the mind, invigorates the body, and helps relieve pain.

When you shop for kratom, do you ever wonder how it is made? Or how different kratom veins are produced? If you are in this category of wonderful kratom users, this blog is for you. Read more to learn about the beautiful transformation of the humble kratom leaf into a miraculous powder.

Stages of production.

When you shop kratom online, it must have passed through these four stages of production and testing before reaching you.

Harvesting.

Mitragyna Speciosa loves to grow in a hot, humid climate. It thrives in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea. Most kratom trees grow in the wild. Farmers sometimes cultivate trees to meet up to the increasing demand for kratom. Young leaves are not harvested, because it needs time to fully develop their beneficial alkaloids. Farmers harvest the leaves when the tree is 2-5 years old or earlier, depending on the strain or vein type.

Processing.

The processing stage involves drying, fermenting, and grinding. Farmers thoroughly wash the leaves to remove dirt, dust, and other contaminants. The next thing they do is separate the leaves based on their veins. Each type of kratom has a unique processing method. Workers dry the leaves under the sun and or indoors, depending on the vein type.

Exposing the leaves to UV radiation causes certain alkaloids like mitragynine to convert to 7-hydroxy-mitragynine. When the leaves get exposed to direct sunlight or UV rays, they produce more 7-hydroxy-mitragynine.

Let’s look at the drying process for red, green, and white vein kratom.

Red-vein kratom spends all its time drying under the sun or UV lamps- this gives it a high concentration of 7-hydroxy-mitragynine compared to other types.

Green vein kratom online spends time drying under the sun and indoors. As a result, green vein kratom has more balanced amounts of the two active components.

White vein kratom is sometimes fermented and dried indoors, and has the highest amount of mitragynine.

Packaging and shipping.

After drying the leaves, they are crushed or ground into a fine powder, packaged in vacuum-sealed bags, and shipped to vendors.

Lab testing phase.

Lab testing is perhaps the most crucial stage of production. Before vendors sell to users, legitimate vendors send samples to independent labs to test for harmful chemicals, toxins, and pathogens. If the samples meet the standard, they are approved for sale. Before you buy kratom online in New York, ensure the vendor has third-party testing on all the products.
